Private enterprise spearheading field project
An artificial turf football field to be used by three Cochrane, Alta.-area schools remains on the table after Rocky View County indicated it might be willing to help fund the project. The town and county are being asked to commit $600,000 each toward the $2.4-million project which is being spearheaded by a private group and an unnamed alumni donor. The proposed arrangement is a 50-50 split in the cost between the private and public parties.
