Action: The board of directors approved the replacement of the lawn at Robert Fife Stadium.

Discussion: School district director Christopher DiLoreto (Christopher DiLoreto) said that the school district plans to build a 92,000 square foot project this summer to replace the artificial turf of the stadium at a cost of $527,763. Di Loreto said the region is working with various partners and donors to raise funds for turf projects.

"We put the existing turf in preparation for our 2011 season, which means we have 11 seasons on this turf, which has exceeded its life expectancy by several years," said Assistant Superintendent Barry Mason.

In the past 10 years, the school district has helped pay for the district’s expenses through sponsorships, facility rentals, and donations, thereby saving money. Some of the partners the school district is working with are the Jackson Football Association, Boys and Girls Lacrosse Boosters, and Purple Army Jackson High School Band Boosters.
