One of the joys of the NFL—especially when making NFL games an obstacle (not to mention betting) NFL games—is to start taking advantage of the visiting team’s recent performance on natural grass, if they are playing home games on artificial turf— Benjamin Lee Eckstein, who became famous as the "U.S. Line of Defense", used the term "as a visitor on the grass" to refer to this situation. And how the teams playing home games on natural grass have recently performed on artificial turf-what Eckstein calls "as visitors on the carpet"-when making choices (or placing bets).

Eckstein even has a convenient term to refer to the form of a team in which home games must be played in warm climates or dome stadiums when playing on the northern outdoor courts in November or later: "as a visitor to cold weather"-of course, in baseball This situation has never really happened.

"As a guest on the grass" and "A guest on the carpet" are about to join "As a guest in cold weather", because they didn't exist in the past national pastimes.

Since the Rams and Chargers have crossed the edge of the turf last season, the NFL’s turf balance is now 16-16, with only three major league baseball teams-the Tampa Bay Rays, Texas Rangers and Arizona Diamondbacks-playing their home games on a synthetic surface (the Diamondbacks went from grass to turf at Chase Field in 2019).

Guess this will please the "purists" of baseball—if any.

Maybe they will also have the upper hand in football: remember John Madden, how he is "old school", he once said that the NFL should get rid of artificial turf-and get rid of the "wave", and (the latter no longer exists, But the former is more than just sticking to oneself).

Surprisingly, NFLPA did not clamor for Madden to realize his wish. Once again, the union was unable to secure a bye for each team in the second week in exchange for a schedule of 17 games. This would have allowed every team participating in Thursday’s game to have an automatic bye in the previous week, and it would give the owners a bye. Allegedly dream of something-to participate in the Super Bowl game on the Sunday of President’s Day weekend, thus making "Super Bowl Monday" a federal holiday and causing Roger Goodall’s approval rating to enter the ionosphere with Jennifer Pierce of Black Lightning , If President Biden issues an executive order to make President’s Day and New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas as the "main" holidays (currently President’s Day and Martin Luther King’s Day, Columbus Day/Indigenous Peoples Day and Veterans Day are just a "little" holiday).

When it comes to player safety, getting rid of artificial turf can also have a huge positive impact-don't we all want this?

You got bad information...Three MLB teams (Dbacks, Rangers, and Marlins) have installed synthetic turf in the past three years...Organic infill, just like natural grass.
