It’s good to be Michael B. Jordan.

Nominated for an Emmy in 2018 for the sci-fi thriller “Fahrenheit 451,” the “Fruitville Station” and “Black Panther” star was named People’s Sexiest Man Alive in 2020. He has several high-profile films coming down the pike, including the third installment of the “Creed” franchise, which will also mark his directorial debut, and he hauled in $15 million for last year’s streamer “Without Remorse.“

Now, with his star continuing its steep upward trajectory, and even before he closed on the pending sale of his multimillion-dollar Hollywood Hills bachelor pad, the 35-year-old actor has upgraded his residential circumstances with the $12.5 million acquisition of a big and brand-new mansion in L.A.’s popular and ever-more-expensive Encino community.

There should be plenty of room for Jordan and his showbiz scion girlfriend Lori Harvey, adopted daughter of comedian/TV host Steve Harvey. Set behind gates on about half an acre, there are a total of eight bedrooms and ten bathrooms, plus four more powder rooms, in about 12,300 square feet of woodsy contemporary living space. The property was jointly listed with Dennis Chernov of The Chernov Team at The Agency and Adi Livyatan of Rodeo Realty; Jordan was represented by Andrew Mortaza and Bryan Castaneda, both with The Agency.

Highlights of the charcoal board-and-batten-clad modern farmhouse-style abode include a 20-foot-tall wooden front door that pivots open to a sprawling open-plan space juiced up with slatted wood paneling and an indoor waterfall. A custom staircase links all three floors — there’s also an elevator — and disappearing walls of glass facilitate easy indoor-outdoor living. The huge, double-island kitchen sports bespoke cabinetry, and the entire property is protected by a high-tech security system controlled by state-of-the-art smart home system.

Whether in the main house or one of the ancillary structures, each of the bedrooms includes a private bath, while the primary suite boasts two bathrooms, along with a fireplace and a balcony. A dedicated shoe closet is in addition to a pair lavishly fitted dressing rooms.

A subterranean level jam-packed with leisure and recreation options offers a lounge with professional bar, a movie theater, a temperature-controlled wine cellar encased in glass, and a spa treatment room with a wall of windows that slides open to a spa trimmed in white marble-like material.

Pancake flat and ringed by mature trees, the backyard has lots of evergreen fake turf, a built-in barbecue and bar area, and a trendy zero-edge pool and spa. A trio of detached pavilions include a pool house with bath, an open-air poolside lounge, and a two-story guesthouse with a second level bedroom that looks across a courtyard and directly into the primary bedroom.

Jordan is expected to close on the sale of his Hollywood Hills home soon, which has an almost $7 million price tag, but for now he’s holding on to large home in Sherman Oaks that he scooped up in 2015 for a tad more than $1.7 million.
